Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012

Hi again :) Well I recieved the Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 last week.
I have taken the past few days to try these products out. I have to say, I was very happy with almost everything that was sent.

I received each product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

I am in love with the Pumpkin Cupcake candle from Bath and Body Works. I am a candle junkie, they are everywhere you look in my home. This candle was placed in my bedroom, and it filled the room as well as the bathroom with a decadent scent of Pumpkin goodness :) My Husband even like it, and he is picky when it comes to scents.

Next is the Goody Simplestyles Spin Pin. These are the best pins I have ever tried. These 2 pins did the work of 15 for me. I have thick curly hair, that is hard to keep up. I made a simple low bun and these two pins keep my hair in place the whole day.. I have been raving about these pins to everyone I know. I will be picking up more of these.

Not Your Mother's has a Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. I really liked it.It is infused with Coconut & Silk Extracts, and it smells devine. You only need a small amount, and you will have frizz-free hair all day. It works well with blown, or air dried hair. I tested it both ways, and I was without frizz all day.

There was a sample of EBOOST Daily Health Boost. I had my husband try it out while he wasn't feeling well. He said that it didn't taste bad, and he began to feel a bit more like himself.  I am going to try this one myself, I want to see if it works for me as well.

NYC New York Color Individual Eyes Custom Compact in Dark Shadows. 4 eye shadows with a primer base, and illuminator. Great color payoff, and the color lasts without creasing. I like how there is a primer base in the compact, makes it easier then having to have a separate primer. Everything you need is there in the compact, you just have to add mascara.

Finally, we come to the one product I really didn't like. The Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter kit. This was the first time I ever used false lashes before. I was really nervous because I have very sensitive eyes. I followed the direction that were on the box. For some reason, these lashes did not want to stick. I don't know if it was because I did something wrong, or what. I waited a few days and tried again. I followed the directions step by step like last time, and once again, they wouldn't stick.. They looked like a great set of lashes, but they just weren't meant for me.

As you can tell, I was very pleased with my VoxBox. I have been telling my friends about Influenster, and how they should try it out.

Thanks for taking time to read this review.

Influenster.com

Hey Loves :) I am back, I know that it has been forever, sorry.
I am doing a lot better, and I am trying to focus on staying busy with my blog, and Youtube channels.
I want to talk about this site that I was introduced to via Youtube.

I was introduced to a fun new site called Influenster.

What Is Influenster

An exclusive online community where tastemakers and trendsetters (such as yourself) come to share the latest and greatest news, places, products, and reviews with each other.

I have slowly been learning how to navigate the site, and it seems pretty straight forward, and easy. I love that you take surveys to gain badges to show how knowledgeable you are to certain things :)
I really like what I have seen so far, and I am a very tough cookie when it comes to liking things.

In the upcoming weeks I will post a blog as to where I am at in the Influenster world. I would like to spend a bit more time getting to know the site and workings of everything before I start a full review. As for today, I am very pleased, and I look forward to seeing what else is in store.

Thanks so much for taking your time to read my blog, I am a work in progress.

Have a happy and fun filled weekend,
Loves & Hugs :)

Friday, where did you go?

Well it is Friday and the day has just flown by so fast. I have been trying to get my house back in order since I have so much extra time on my hands.. Cleaned up and even took Dixie for a walk around the neighborhood. I entered a few YouTube giveaways, fingers crossed that I win one.. LOL It just doesn't feel like it is almost 4 p.m. I guess I am still stuck on my schedule from work. Maybe I will be able to sleep in tomorrow, since I am still waking up at 6 a.m. for some reason..lol

Maybe if I feel like it after dinner I will do a video on my foundation routine, I have been seeing a lot of those on there the past few days.. Might as well give it a shot, never know what will happen..lol

So have a HAPPY Friday night everyone...

Life so far....

Well I haven't posted since August, so I guess with all of the extra free time I have, I will work on my blog.
I recently was laid off from my job, and I am now currently looking for a new one. As many may know, with the recent economic problems we are facing, teachers are getting laid off left and right.
This has really put me down in the dumps. I have depression to begin with, but this has just increased it. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with unemployment, such a pain, but it has to be done. Because you can't live for free, well at least I can't..lol
So as I wait for replies on my recent applications, I am going to try and work on my blog and YouTube pages. I have so many things I want to write about, but where do I start, my brain is so full of wonderful ideas if I do say so myself..lol We shall see what comes first, and I know that it will be something good. Thanks for taking time out of your day to take a look at my page, it means a lot..

Here we go...

Ok, I know that I haven't posted in a few weeks, sorry about that. I have recently gone back to work, YAY! I can not tell you how much I have missed my babies. Two months off for the summer nearly killed me. I know what you are thinking, I would kill for that time off. Sadly, I thought the same until I received it. I was doing good at first, but as the time went by, I started going a bit crazy. There is only so many times you can clean your home, reorganize things, and catch up on some reading. I was going bonkers.. LOL

Here is a lil bit of background info for those confused. I was a stay at home wife for most of my adult life. I married two of the most countrified men I could ever meet. Yes, I am on my second marriage, but back to the real reason for this post..lol They wanted their wife to stay at home and tend to things like good southern girls do. And yes, I was fine with that for a while, but then I would get depressed or aggravated, you get the picture. So after Hurricane Katrina hit, and we were displaced, and forced to move to Missouri, I decided to go back to school. At first my husband wasn't to happy about my choice, but it had to be done. I would not continue to be one of those silly country girls who did as told. So I majored in Criminal Justice, since I had a knowledge of MS law and criminal education, I thought this would be a great choice. Boy was I ever wrong! The instructors were as dry as year old bread. I wasn't inspired, and was bored worse than being at home. I knew that I had to keep going or I would put myself back into the rut I just got myself out of. So with that being said, I decided to change majors. This time I went into Child Development. I have always wanted to work with children. I was going to work in Family Court, but you see where that went.lol So, I found a major that I love. I worked very hard and made it to the President's list twice, and graduated with honors.. I am now working on my BA in the same field. I am also teaching at a private Christian preschool, and I have to say that I am in love with my job, and the children that I have the opportunity to teach. You might be thinking that I am crazy, I spend 9 hours a day with 13 3 year old, but I LOVE it! The feeling I get when I see them achieve a  task is the best feeling in the world.
I have been told all of my life that I was blessed with a gift. I react best with children, and I have a gift for teaching them. I always laughed at my family when they told me that. They would say that I should go into education, instead of law, but I was not wanting to go into education. Sorry that I waited so long to do what everyone knew I was born to do.
So with that, you can understand why I was going bonkers not working. I don't have any children of my own yet, so I fill the void with my "babies" at work.

I am happiest when I am at work, or at school. I guess I am just not meant to be a homebody, not that there is anything wrong with that, it just isn't for me.

Thanks for taking time to read this. I will try to post more regularly, but please understand that my job and education must come first.. :)
